Post-Concussion

At Rehab Without Walls® our mild concussion program is specifically designed for this unique population recently diagnosed with a concussion.

A concussion, also known as a mild traumatic brain injury (TBI), is a common injury that may often go untreated. It is caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head that disrupts normal function of the brain. Not all bumps or jolts to the head result in a TBI, and the severity of a concussion may range from “mild” to “severe”, with most being classified as “mild”.

Symptoms of a Concussion

  • Brief or no loss of consciousness
  • Vomiting
  • Lethargy
  • Dizziness
  • Confusion/inability to recall recent events

With our interdisciplinary approach, our team will meet and evaluate each individual and develop a customized treatment plan which will target the cognitive and physical results they may be experiencing that are often seen with post-concussive syndrome, such as:

  • Memory loss
  • Balance loss
  • Vertigo
  • Cognitive fatigue
  • Sleep issues
  • Visual disturbance
