When Tresa initially came to Rehab Without Walls, she was suffering from Long COVID. Due to being a fall risk, she was unable to function or take care of herself independently, and unable to live alone.
Before starting therapy with RWW, Tresa would have sporadic relapses leaving her back at square one with recovery; however, her relapses aren’t nearly as severe now. They don’t last as long and will only take a week or two to get back to a base line to keep improving. Currently, her therapists are working on her balance by strengthening her legs, arms, and brain function.
Tresa states, “My therapists Daniel and Julie played a huge role in my life. They are patient, kind, loving, they listen, and they truly want to know how I feel and what is happening. I feel like I can tell them anything. They don’t make me feel rushed. The other thing I love about coming here is that it brings joy to my day and the interaction with the other patients as we inspire each other. The community relations manager Kaitlynn helped with my insurance to make sure I was covered and even went to my doctor’s office to sign documents that were needed.
Thanks to therapy, the most important thing is that I can live by myself again and don’t have to rely on a caretaker. I can shower on my own, feed myself again, and able to do laundry. I don’t expect to be running any marathons but if I can walk one, I’m good with that.
Rehab Without Walls is the only place I would go for therapy. I would highly recommend anyone searching for PT, OT, and SLP to come here. I was thinking about moving to Texas and Daniel even found a location in Texas within 20 miles of where I was going to live. I love how they didn’t leave me without any answers when I thought I was going to move to a different state.”
