Music Therapy

At Rehab Without Walls® we strive to support those recovering from a brain injury with a wide variety of therapy programs and services, one of those being Music Therapy.

Brain injuries lead to impairments of functions such as sensory, motor, language, and emotional processing; as well as impairments in cognitive functions such as attention, information processing, and memory.

Through our Music Therapy program,
we provide support in achieving the following goals:

  • Recall pieces of information within a chorus/verse/whole song or played rhythm
  • Improve gait parameters
  • Improve range of motion
  • Improve bilateral movement as well as fine motor
  • Redevelop ability to hold information in conscious awareness for brief periods and store information in short-term memory
