Dietary Services

While focusing on one’s physical rehabilitation, it’s important to understand that
dietary needs should also be supported.

The brain controls how we feel and act, specifically executive functions of the brain, such as personality, emotions, and behavior. These functions often include impulsivity, perseveration, impaired self-awareness, poor judgment, mood imbalance, anxiety, and/or depression.

Impulsivity and reduced self-control affect eating habits and can therefore affect overall physical health. Often, individuals with brain injuries can gain or lose weight drastically by being bed/wheelchair-bound, which can affect their overall quality of life and make therapy more difficult.

At Rehab Without Walls®, everyone is unique, and their dietary plan is as well. We help customize dietary plans based on the individual’s specific needs.
