“After my spinal cord injury, I felt lost and overwhelmed. Being 26 years young with so much taken out of my life so suddenly was an experience I will never forget. It was during my time with Rehab Without Walls that I encountered the most incredible group of people, especially Paula and Kathy. They truly changed my life.
My occupational therapist Paula was a constant source of support. No matter how tough my day was, she always took the time to listen. Our conversations felt like a lifeline; I could share my fears and hopes without judgment. Her empathy and understanding made a world of difference, reminding me that I wasn’t alone in this journey.
Then there was my physical therapist Kathy, who brought joy and laughter into our sessions. I’ll never forget our soccer session at the park near my house. She encouraged me to push my limits while making the experience fun. Her playful spirit helped me rediscover my love for the game, showing me that I could still embrace life even after my injury.
I would also like to share my heartfelt thanks to community relations manager Laura, even though I only saw her towards the end. Her genuine care and compassion for people suffering like me was immediately evident. She took the time to listen, understand, and even today continues to provide support, making a challenging situation feel much more manageable.
Together, Paula, Kathy, Laura, and the whole team at Rehab Without Walls created an environment where healing wasn’t just about physical recovery but emotional growth too. Their attentiveness and genuine care made every day feel a little brighter. I can’t thank them enough for the support they provided; they helped me find strength I didn’t know I had. I’m forever grateful to them and the entire rehab group for helping me regain my confidence and hope for the future.
I truly appreciate the way you’ve all been there for me. Your belief in my strength has inspired me to keep pushing forward. Thank you for a lifetime of happiness. I’m so grateful to have met you all.” – Alvaro, RWW Patient
