Brain Injury

As a leader in neuro rehab for more than 30 years, Rehab Without Walls® addresses the unique needs of people who have experienced an acquired brain injury (ABI) or traumatic brain injury (TBI). Our proven approach combines multiple specialties that are not solely focused on what an individual can do today; rather we’re looking at sustainable long-term results, months, and years down the road.

Spinal Cord Injury

While neuro rehab can’t reverse permanent spinal cord damage, it can help people who have SCI lead the fullest life possible. Rehab Without Walls® helps individuals improve mobility, learn how to use adaptive equipment, and manage the emotional challenges of their new life.

Stroke

Our Personalized Stroke Rehab Program Addresses Physical, Cognitive, and Emotional Recovery.

Physical Therapy

Our team of physical therapists use methods, called modalities, such as ultrasound, functional electric stimulation for muscles, aquatic therapy, and manual therapy to promote proper movement and function.

Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapy practitioners utilize a holistic approach where the focus is on adapting the environment and/or task to each individual. In all our settings, the individual, family, and care team are an integral part of the plan. The holistic approach utilized by our team enables individuals of all ages to live life to the fullest along with promoting health.

Speech Language Pathology

We offer an evidence-based, person-centered, meaningful approach to meet our individual’s communication and life goals. We work with individuals, their families, and their support teams to help them re-learn the skills needed to succeed in daily life.

Pediatric Neuro Conditions

At Rehab Without Walls®, we provide comprehensive therapy services that make a real difference in day-to-day life for children from infancy to young adulthood. Whether delivered in our renowned outpatient centers or the child’s home, our approach is the same: developing an individualized treatment plan and encouraging family participation.

Recreational Therapy

At Rehab Without Walls® our Recreational therapists are nationally certified as Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists (CTRS) and have experience working with neuro-based injuries.

Vocational Rehabilitation

Our vocational therapy evaluates the individual’s abilities to fit into a job or career that will allow them to thrive.

Music Therapy

With our music therapy program, we support those recovering from impairments of functions such as sensory, motor, language, and emotional processing; as well as impairments in cognitive functions such as attention, information processing, and memory.

Counseling

As an additional layer of support, at Rehab Without Walls, we provide counseling services that assists with an individual’s physical, mental, developmental, cognitive, and emotional disabilities to achieve their personal, career, and independent living goals in the most integrated setting possible.

Neuropsychology

We perform comprehensive neuropsychological assessments to determine what cognitive issues, or psychosocial factors may be present. We then meet with individuals and their families to discuss the diagnosis, prognosis, or issues related to the recovery process and the rehabilitation program, along with provide recommendations for successful reentry into prior activities, such as school or work.

Return to Driving

At Rehab Without Walls®, our team includes Driver Rehabilitation Specialists that are certified by the Association for Driver Rehabilitation Services (ADED) and offers on-the-road training to better prepare participants for real road conditions.

Return to Work PLUS (RTW+)

Our program provides individuals with relevant treatment outside the traditional clinical setting, allowing for a timely and successful transition back to work.

Post-Concussion

At Rehab Without Walls® our mild concussion program is specifically designed for this unique population recently diagnosed with a concussion.

Amputation/Limb Loss

The team will evaluate each patient and create an interdisciplinary plan focused on their specific needs. The team will identify areas of deficit and assist with putting the learned strategies to work, in the real world - both in the home environment and out in the community.

Assistive Technology

Rehab Without Walls® can provide assistive technology including equipment, software programs, and devices that can assist individuals with communication, activities of daily living, home modifications and environmental controls.

Return to School

Our Return-to-School Program is designed to work closely with the family, providing one-to-one support to minimize fears and maximize active participation in the care process as students recovering from a variety or injuries and conditions work to return to the classroom.

Community Reintegration Program

When recovering from a serious injury we address unique goals through one-on-one and small group sessions, fostering skills that can be seamlessly applied in real-life scenarios—be it at home, work, school, or during recreational activities.
