Brain Injury

As a leader in neuro rehab for more than 30 years, Rehab Without Walls® addresses the unique needs of people who have experienced an acquired brain injury (ABI) or traumatic brain injury (TBI). Spinal Cord Injury

While neuro rehab can’t reverse permanent spinal cord damage, it can help people who have SCI lead the fullest life possible. Rehab Without Walls® helps individuals improve mobility, learn how to use adaptive equipment, and manage the emotional challenges of their new life.

Stroke

Our Personalized Stroke Rehab Program Addresses Physical, Cognitive, and Emotional Recovery.

Neurological Conditions

With all our rehab programs, we work with the individual and their family to set functional and personal treatment goals. We then create customized rehab programs centered around those goals.

Counseling

As an additional layer of support, at Rehab Without Walls, we provide counseling services that assists with an individual’s physical, mental, developmental, cognitive, and emotional disabilities to achieve their personal, career, and independent living goals in the most integrated setting possible.

Neuropsychology

We perform comprehensive neuropsychological assessments to determine what cognitive issues, or psychosocial factors may be present. We then meet with individuals and their families to discuss the diagnosis, prognosis, or issues related to the recovery process and the rehabilitation program, along with provide recommendations for successful reentry into prior activities, such as school or work.

  • Residential rehab services are provided through facilities in Bangor, Holden, and Brewer. Contact us for details.
  • We also provide outpatient rehab at locations in Fairfield and Rockland, Maine.
  • We accept most commercial insurance, including but not limited to Martin’s Point, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim, AETNA and TRICARE as well as MaineCare and Medicare. More information about insurance.

 

 

 

About the Residential Program

  • Provides services to individuals who are participating in the Maine Care Brain Injury Waiver (Section #18) Program and national contracted payers
  • Assist participants with appropriate levels of support best suited to each resident’s goals
  • CARF accredited program in brain injury residential home and community standards
  • 24-hour per day supervision
  • Expert neuro-specialized rehabilitation available
  • Facilities designed to residents needs
  • Family members will feel welcome at each residence
